The Role
The Strategist will be responsible for working closely with clients and internal teams to help clients deliver successful campaigns. You will need to know how to position challenger and start up brands, to stand out in competitive markets.
Day to day duties will be varied, but will cover:
- Working closely with Head of Strategy and Head of Client Services to understand clients and their business objectives, gathering key insights and translating data into creative communications strategies
- Building a strong relationship with key clients, becoming a trusted advisor and source of marketing expertise
- Deep understanding Social Media, and how it works effecitively with other channels to boost brands
- Interpretation and interrogation of client briefs to uncover what clients “want” to achieve and creating multi-channel proposals
- Write strategic content and (occasionally) copywriting for creative briefs and mock ads
- Measure effectiveness across on digital and offline campaigns
- Creating and running client-facing strategic workshops with senior client stakeholders, writing research, and planning decks, facilitating focus groups and working of a variety of different projects to support clients overcome a wide-array of challenges
Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in your application you have gained at least 3+ years marketing strategy from an agency.
You will have/be:
- Currently working within a Strategist or Planner role
- Experience in research, data analysis and statistical analysis, deciphering key findings to create a robust strategy and translate insights into a story that can influence and drive change
- Comfortable with copywriting, content and messaging
- Understanding brand building and positioning, using research tools to distil information into a concise and effective strategy
- Proficiency supporting on research efforts and working with a primary research agency
- Knowledge of current and emerging digital channels and best practices
- Confident in communicating and building relationships with client stakeholders
