Business Development Manager
Salary: £50,000 Base + Commission
Location: Home based with weekly meetings near London
Reporting to: UK Country Manager

About the Role
This is a new business-focused opportunity for a commercially driven Business Development Manager who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and winning new business.
You'll inherit a small portfolio of existing accounts but your primary focus will be generating opportunities and securing new clients through a combination of outbound prospecting, phone-based business development, networking and consultative selling.
Working closely with the UK Country Manager, you'll be given the autonomy to build your own pipeline, develop meaningful client relationships and help grow the UK operation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise opportunities across consumer-focused sectors
- Generate new business through outbound phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking and industry events
- Execute structured prospecting cadences and outreach sequences to drive pipeline growth
- Use CRM and sales engagement tools to manage activity and opportunities effectively
- Engage senior stakeholders across marketing, ecommerce, brand and commercial functions
- Lead consultative sales conversations to uncover business needs and identify opportunities
- Develop proposals, negotiate commercial agreements and manage opportunities through to close
- Grow existing client relationships and identify account development opportunities
- Work closely with leadership to refine sales approaches, messaging and target markets
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys business development and understands that consistent prospecting is fundamental to success.
You will likely have:
- 3-7 years' experience in Business Development, Sales or New Business roles
- A proven track record of generating opportunities through outbound activity
- Experience selling services into enterprise organisations and recognised consumer brands
- Confidence picking up the phone and initiating conversations with senior decision-makers
- Experience executing structured outreach campaigns using platforms such as Salesloft
- Strong CRM discipline and process-driven ways of working
- Excellent communication, questioning and relationship-building skills
- The resilience and persistence required to manage longer enterprise sales cycles
- A self-motivated approach and ability to work autonomously
Suitable Backgrounds
We'd be particularly interested in speaking with candidates from:
- Marketing, media, digital, ecommerce or brand agencies
- Consumer engagement, content marketing, shopper marketing or customer insight businesses
- Business development roles selling into FMCG, consumer electronics, retail, household appliance, food & beverage or pet care brands
- Commercial roles involving enterprise-level prospecting, relationship building and consultative sales
Direct sector experience is beneficial but not essential. The key requirement is the ability to proactively generate opportunities, build relationships with enterprise organisations and convert conversations into commercial outcomes.

- £45,000 - 50,000 base salary (£60,000 - £65,000 OTE) with uncapped commission structure
