SEO Account Director
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
Location: Remote (UK-based, with occasional travel to London and client sites)
Working pattern: 4-day work week (Monday – Thursday)
About The Company
Solis Recruitment is excited to partner with an exciting SEO Agency in London, looking for a talented SEO Account Director to join the team. Our client has partnered with a range of Corporate and SME clients across the Food, Drinks, Property, Eductation, Retail, Tech and Finance.
They operate a remote-first model, though the role will require occasional travel to London (and other locations) for team collaboration and client meetings. The agency proudly offers a 4-day work week (Monday – Thursday), with a focus on delivering exceptional work while maintaining work-life balance.
About The Role
As SEO Account Director, you’ll lead client relationships, develop and oversee SEO strategies, and ensure high-quality delivery from internal teams. You’ll play a key role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing regular updates, hosting bi-weekly calls, and leading QBR presentations.
- Understanding clients’ business goals and creating tailored SEO strategies to drive measurable results.
- Writing compelling business cases, overseeing strategy implementation, and tracking performance to identify areas of improvement.
- Overseeing a team of SEO specialists responsible for deliverables such as technical audits and keyword research.
- Supporting new business development and leading pitches for prospective clients.
This role has a strong focus on fostering relationships with clients, understanding their goals, and helping them reach (and surpass) their objectives.
About You
To succeed as SEO Account Director, you’ll have experience working within an agency environment and managing clients across multiple sectors.
You will have or be:
- 5+ years’ experience in agency settings, working in client services or account management.
- A strong working knowledge of SEO and digital PR, with the ability to answer top-level client questions.
- Proven experience leading new business pitches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and translate technical information into accessible insights.
- Experience writing business cases and engaging high-level stakeholders.

- This role is remote but will involve occasional travel to London and client sites.
