Ecommerce Content Assistant (Contract Role - 3 months)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support our team during an exciting website migration project. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks, with a strong focus on content management and quality assurance, both during the migration and post-launch phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Upload, edit, and format website content, including landing pages, blog articles, and product pages, ensuring accurate transfer and consistency across platforms.
• Set up product listings by transferring product descriptions, resizing, and uploading images.
• Assist in quality assurance post-launch by identifying and flagging content errors or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all content aligns with brand standards and website structure.

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience uploading and managing website content.
• A strong understanding of e-commerce and content organisation.
• Familiarity with web content management systems (e.g., Magento, WordPress, Shopify or similar; Adobe Experience Manager experience is a plus—training provided if needed).
• Proficiency in image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Canva etc...) with the ability to resize and optimise images for the web.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on repetitive tasks.

The Role

The eCommerce Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of marketing and trading activities through the CMS, as well as managing and maintaining excellent presentation on the website.

Day to day responsibilities of the eCommerce Assistant will include:

• Supporting the Ecommerce Manager with various tasks including analysis of data and trading performance.
• Management of website elements, product listings and product information, ensuring all information is up to date and accurate.
• Data analysis and reporting on website performance and sales performance, identification and resolution of any issues detected (via development agency if technical support is required).
• Collaborating with other teams including the wider digital marketing teams, customer service, finance and so on.
• Staying up to date with industry trends, conducting competitor analysis and keeping abreast of e-com technologies to maintain optimal site performance.

Skills and Experience

The eCommerce Assistant will have 1+ years of relevant experience, working with an established brand or in an ecommerce environment. This role will suit someone who is a positive team player and who takes a collaborative approach to their work. The ideal eCommerce Assistant will have/be:

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and confident in their ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent attention to detail, an analytical mindset and an ability to interpret data and provide insights.
• Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage a workload with multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience using e-commerce CMS, experience using Magento would be ideal!
• Basic understanding of web technologies including html, CSS, browsers etc.
• A genuine passion for a career in e-commerce, with an interest in industry trends and developments.
• Keen to further their own learning and development, and take on new challenges.
